August 2015 | TBR

tbr

I am going crazy with the amount of books on my TBR again, but whatever. August is my last free month this year and I’m not going to waste and. I’ll read a ton! Booktube-a-thon is happening in the first week of August and I hope that later in the month there will be more readathons that I can take part in. I will also be on a vacation for two weeks at the beginning of August which means I’ll read all day, every day (because there will be no internet, probably, but don’t worry, I’ve already scheduled some posts so I’ll still be here). So what do I want to read this month?

First we have books that I plan to read during Booktube-a-thon:
1. Kiersten White – Paranormalcy (Paranormalcy #1)
2. Sara Gruen – Water for Elephants
3. Henryk Sienkiewicz – In Desert and Wilderness
4. Stephen Chbosky – Perks of Being a Wallflower
5. Paula Hawkins – The Girl on the Train
6. Kim Harrington – Clarity (Clarity #1)
7. Tammara Webber – Easy (Contours of Heart #1)

Then we have some books that I’m just dying to read and I’m sure I’ll be reading this month:
8. Veronica Roth – Insurgent (Divergent #2)
9. Josephine Angelini – Starcrossed (Starcrossed #1)
10. Lauren Kate – Teardrop (Teardrop #1)
11. J. R. Ward – Lover Eternal (Black Dagger Brotherhood #2)
12. Kiera Cass – The One (The Selection #3)
13. George R. R. Martin – A Feast for Crows (A Song of Ice and FIre #4)

And lastly, ebooks that I need to review:
14. William Sutcliffe – Concentr8
15. Matt Fraction & Christian Ward – ODY-C Vol. 1

Knowing me, I probably won’t get to all of these books, but I’ll definitely read a lot. As long as I’m having fun and enjoying reading, I don’t really care if I complete my TBR or not. What do you plan to read in August? Have you read any of the books I’m going to read? I’d love to know, so tell me in the comments.

July 2015 | TBR

I have these huge reading plans for the upcoming month and I really hope I will manage to do most of them. I’ll be at the seaside for ten or so days and I plan to do nothing there, just read for the entire day, every day. Also, for the rest of the month I’ll be at home and my plan is pretty much the same for that part of the month, except that while I’m home, social conventions expect from me to hang out with people every once in a while. Okay, enough with talking, let’s get to the books I plan to read this month.

I won’t be giving any explanations for why I’m going to read these next books because there are A LOT of books, and also, all of these have the same reason: I’m trying to get my TBR down to 0, and these books interest me the most at the moment. IMG_20150623_121913

1. Kim Harrington – Clarity (Clarity #1)
2. Kiersten White – Paranormalcy (Paranormalcy #1)
3. Jude Deveraux – Remembrance
4. Paula Hawkins – The Girl on the Train
5. Lauren Kate – Teardrop (Teardrop #1)
6. Stephen Chbosky – The Perks of Being a Wallflower
7. George R. R: Martin – A Feast for Crows (A Song of Ice and Fire #4)
8. Tammara Webber – Easy (Contours of Heart #1)
9. Josephine Angelini – Starcrossed (Starcrossed #1)
10. J. R. Ward – Covet (Fallen Angels #1)
11. Veronica Roth – Insurgent (Divergent #2)

Now, there are few more ebooks and audiobooks that I’d like to read this month.

12. Rick RIordan – The Battle of the Labyrinth (Percy Jackson and the Olympians #4)
In June I finally read the third book in the series and since I don’t own the last two books in the series, I decided that listening to them on audio would ba a lot of fun so I’m giving them a shot. Also PJ is just perfect summer read.

13. Morgan Matson – Amy and Roger’s Epic Detour
This one is a leftover from June. I started reading it and I really like what I’ve read so far, but I just didn’t have time to focus on it, but that is definitely going to change in July.

14. Jenny Han – To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before (To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before #1)
I’ve been interested in this book since it first came out, and now the sequel is out too and I still haven’t read it. That must change. Also, I need a nice, cute contemporary this summer.

Believe it or not, that is it. I plan to read AT LEAST all these books. Yeah, I know I’m being very optimistic right now, but I have a good feeling about my reading this summer. What do you plan on reading in July? Definitely let me know, I love seeing other people’s TBRs.

June 2015 | TBR

I haven’t done a TBR post in months and I think it’s about time for that to change. So here I am, finally posting my TBR.

I chose only 5 books for my June TBR, and those are must-read, so that after I finish those books I can pick up whatever I feel like reading in that moment.

1. Veronica Roth – Divergent (Divergent #1)
I think it’s about time for me to finally read this book. I have a feeling like everyone read this one except for me. Though I have no idea if I’m going to like it or not (because this huge hype), I should at least give it a shot. Also, I know about the big thing that happens at the end of the third book. Everyone knows that.

2. George R. R. Martin – A Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire #1)
This one is a reread for me. I started this book in April for the second time and read almost half of it, and then I haven’t picked it up throughout entire May because I was reading some other books, but I think I should just finish this.

3. Robin Sloan – Mr. Penumbra’s 24-Hour Bookstore
I’ve been eyeing this book on my shelf since I got it as a birthday present (in January!) and now I’m just going to read it. Finally.

4. Morgan Matson – Since You’ve Been Gone
I’m going to read this on audio as a part od #MonthofMatson readalong which is hosted by Maureen Keavy. I’ve never read anything by Morgan Matson and I would really like to, so this a perfect time. I may also pick up her other books during June, but I’m not sure yet.

5. Colleen Hoover – Hopeless (Hopeless #1)
I’m in a mood for some new adult and I’ve heard only amazing things about Colleen Hoover so I decided I should finally read some of her books, and this one is the only book by her available in my local library so I’m going with it.

I definitely plan to read more than five books in June, since my school ends on June 16th, but I’m trying to keep my TBR low so I can have more freedom in choosing what to read next. Currently I’m in a mood for some contemporarys and romance, but my mood usually changes overnight so we’ll see what I end up reading. What are your reading plans for June?

November 2014 | TBR

I read very small amount of books in October and I’m not very optimistic about my November reading either. I’d really like to read more, but school is taking me away so much time and energy so even when I have time to read, I’m too exhausted and I rather spend the night watching TV instead because I don’t have to focus that much. I hate myself because of that, but that’s how it is.
I plan to read at least 5 books in the month of November because that not nearly as much as I would like to read, but it’s the least I should do. I had a hard time deciding which books to pick for this TBR because there are so many books I want to read soon, but these are my top priority right now.

1. Amanda Hocking – Torn (Trylle #2)
I’ll be reading this book for Official Trylle Re-read  Readalong. In October I read the first book, Switched and I plan on continuing with the trilogy for sure. I also plan on reading Ascend, the third book in the trilogy, but I’m afraid I’ll give up on that during the month so that’s the reason why I’m only mentioning it here and it’s not officialy on my TBR.

2. Suzanne Collins – Mockingjay (The Hunger Games #3)
I already started re-reading this book in October and I’m about 50 pages in. I plan on finishing this book for the second time before the movie comes out so I refresh my memory a bit before watching the movie.

3. James Dashner – The Maze Runner (The Maze Runner #1)
I got a little heart-attack when I saw this book in my local library the other day and I immediately put it on top of my TBR because I’ve been wanting to read this book since forever and now I’m definitely going to. It’s a must.

4. Cassandra Clare – The Bane Chronicles
This book is coming out in only few days, if I’m not mistaken, and I already have it as an audiobook so I’m going to read it as soon as I can. Also, I haven’t read any Cassie’s work in two or three months which is not good. I need my Shadowhunters back!

5. V. E. Schwab – Vicious
This book was on my last TBR as well, but I still didn’t finish it. I’m about 30% in and I’ll continue reading it (and hopefully finish it) in November. I am really enjoing it, but I just don’t have the time to listen to audiobook these days so that’s why I’m so slow with it. But it’s really good!

These are all the books that I really need to read in November, even though there are some others that I really want to read as well. Also, I don’t know if you noticed, but I’m not going to read Little Book Club’s book of the month in November. The theme is Norway and we are supposed to read The Twistrose Key by Tone Almhjell, but I am not going to read that book because I’d have to read it either as an ebook or an audiobook and I just don’t have the time to do that recently (I read much faster if I read physical books). Also, it’s not the book I really, really want to read so I decided to skip this month and read some other books instead.

October 2014 | TBR

Since September was pretty good reading month even though the school started, I’m pretty optimistic about October as well. Still, I’m not going to put a lot of book on my TBR because I want a bit of ‘freedom’ in choice what to read next and I don’t want to feel pressure to read anything. So, here are only the books I’m 100% sure that I’ll be reading in the month of October.

1. V. E. Schwab – Vicious
This book is Little Book Club’s book of the month for October and I’m really glad because of it because I’ve heard only good things about it. It sounds super interesting and I can’t wait to start it.

2. Joe Hill – Horns
I’m participating in Horns readalong that is hosted by Raeleen from padfootandprongs07 so that is the main reason why is this book here. However, I was planning to read this book this month anyway because the movie (with Daniel Radcliffe) is coming out on Halloween and I wanted to read the book before. Also, October is great month for creepy, spooky and scary books, right? It’s Halloween time!

3. Nathan Filer – The Shock of the Fall
I saw this book in the library one day in September and immediately decided to put it on my TBR because I really want to read it now. Also, I heard only good things about this book. I have no idea what is it about, though.

4. Julie Cross – Tempest (Tempest #1)
This was my TBR jar pick for this month and I’m pretty content with it because I’ve been wanting to read that book for a long time and never actually got around to do it. Also, no idea what is it about, except that it’s paranormal and YA.

5. Rick Riordan – The Lightning Thief (Percy Jackson and the Olympians #1)
Shame on me, I know. I’ve never read anything by Rick Riordan and I should have. I decided it’s about time to finally read this series and I’m going to do it. I watched the movie twice and loved it, but I heard the book is very different than the movie. Mostly I hate to watch the movie before reading the book but the movie sounded so awesome (and it was!) that I just had to watch it. But now I’m going to read the book as well, and maybe even continue on with the series in the month of October.

That is all for this TBR but I have to say, these are not all the books I plan to read in a month. But there will be a lot of exams in October and I’ll have a lot of schoolwork to do which means less time for reading. However, I plan to read as much as I can and these books are definitely happening.

LittleReadaThon #1 | TBR

Catriona from Little Book Owl is hosting an impromptu readathon in Little Book Club and I’m super excited because I want to read as many books I can next week and this readathon will help me a lot with it. You can find out everything about readathon here and Catriona will post updates on her blog. I plan to read at least four books during the readathon and I hope I will succeed.

1. Jennifer L. Armentrout – Obsidian (Lux #1)
I’m super excited about this book and I can’t wait to start reading it!

2. James Dashner – The Maze Runner (The Maze Runner #1)
The movie is coming out and the book sounds interesting. I’m excited!

3. Lauren Oliver – Panic
There is always some audiobook and I chose this one because I want to read more Lauren Oliver.

4. Brandon Sanderson – Steelheart (Reckoners #1)
I borrowed this book from the library, it sounds interesting so I’m giving it a shot.

If I manage to finish all these books and still have some time left, I’m going to read Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl – Beautiful Chaos (Caster Chronicles #3) but I don’t think that will happen.

I want to read as much as I can before the school begins and this readathon is a perfect way to do it. I’ll post a wrap up once when readathon is finished and I hope I’ll read a lot during next week. Wish me luck!

September 2014 | TBR

Since school is starting on September 8th I won’t have as much time to read as I did in past two and a half months but I’ll try to read as much as I can. However, there will be less books on my TBR from now on but that doesn’t necessary mean that I will read only that little amount of books. I’ll really try to keep my TBRs at about 4-5 books per month so I won’t have a pressure to read and don’t do my schoolwork. Enough talking, I’m going to show you all the books I’m planning to read in the month of September.

1. Jennifer L. Armentrout – Obsidian (Lux #1)
I’ve been wanting to read this book for few months now but I never got around it. However, now it’s the Little Book Club’s book of the month for category ugly covers and I’m so excited to finaly pick this book up. I heard only amazing things about it.

2. James Dashner – The Maze Runner (The Maze Runner #1)
The movie is coming out on September 18th and I still haven’t read the book! I have to fix that. Also, the trailer for the movie looks really good and I heard great things about it so I can’t wait to read it. It’s a must.

3. Gayle Forman – If I Stay (If I Stay #1)
This will be a reread for me but since I read this book few years ago and the movie just came out in August (in my country it’s coming out on September 11th) I was thinking it would be goo to refresh my memory before the movie.

4. Gayle Forman – Where She Went (If I Stay #2)
When I finish If I Stay I’m planning to complete the duology and I’m super excited about this book because everyone says that the second book is much better than the first one and I really want to read it.

5. Kass Morgan – Day 21 (The Hundred #2)
This book is coming out on September 16th and I can’t wait for it. I’m going to read it as soon as it comes out so of course it’s on my TBR. I need that book!

6. Lauren Oliver – Panic
Audiobook. I always read some audiobook and this one is next on my list so that’s why it’s here. Can’t wait to read some other Lauren Oliver books!

7. Neil Gaiman – The Graveyard Book
I picked this book from my TBR jar and I’m very excited to read it. I heard different reviews on this book, some people liked it, some people didn’t so I don’t know what to expect… I actually started reading this book few years ago but I read only first chapter or two so I don’t really remember it well.

And that’s all. Unfortunately. I plan to read at least 7 books in September and I hope I will succeed. Wish me luck. I really don’t want to go to school!
